Redmoor has been appointed to lead a major roll out of video consultation across the West Midlands.

Building on experience of working with video on e-consultation platforms, the team will develop the use of virtual consultation across primary care and secondary care. The programme aims to improve communication amongst health care providers as well as reduce unplanned hospital admissions.

Redmoor have been running a similar project in Staffordshire connecting GP Practices and Care Homes using Skype.

Account Executive, Cameron Booth said the work is already bringing improvements: “We are already seeing a reduction in GP journey time and reduction in non-urgent face to face consultations. We are also seeing improvements to medicine reviews which will have a big impact on medicine optimisation which is a key priority for the CCGs.”
