Redmoor Health’s new digital advisor Stacey Thomson brings with her more than 20 years’ experience in the NHS.
She has worked in General Practice throughout the last two decades and is well aware of the pressures facing patients, staff and GPs.
Her greatest area of knowledge is in Medicines Management, and she has recently helped with the development and implementation of a Medicine Hub across a group of newly merged practices.
This involved bringing together a team of Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Practice Prescribing Support teams to improve clinical safety and access for patients.
Stacey has always been a strong advocate for digital solutions and how they can improve services for both staff and patients.
She said: “I am excited to see how I can bring my learning from primary care together with the digital expertise of the team at Redmoor. I had a prefect view on the ground, understanding both the needs of patients, staff and GPs, on a daily basis. I could see the challenges from all angles.
“I know that digital tools offer you the opportunity to see more people, whilst still being able to see those patients with long term conditions face to face when needed.
“The Redmoor team are at the forefront of the latest digital tools, technology and new ways of working – a lot of which I wasn’t aware of whilst I was in primary care. I know these things could have made a big difference during my time there, so it is exciting to see how Redmoor are helping to roll them out to primary care.”
Stacey, who has a 22-year-old daughter Kelsey, a 15-year-old son Joel and a 12-year-old stepdaughter Katie, lives in Cumbria with her partner Paul.
When she is not at work, she enjoys listening to live music. “It is my passion, I love listening to live rock bands.”
