At Redmoor Health, we are dedicated to helping PCNs understand and manage demand and capacity effectively. Our Understand Demand and Capacity project aims to utilise data analytics to provide insights into patient engagement, service usage, and capacity planning.

What the project is about

The Understand Demand and Capacity project focuses on gathering and analysing data from various sources to provide a clear picture of practice capacity and patient demand. This helps in identifying trends, making data-driven decisions, and optimising the use of available resources.

Scope

  • Engagement Metrics: Using messages to deflect demand from reception and track engagement metrics.
  • Analytics of Online Tasks: Using analytics to understand the NHS top 5 online tasks.
  • Data Analytics: Analysing data from telephony, messaging, the NHS App, and online consultations, with a breakdown over the longest possible period.
  • Planned Practice Capacity: Planning and optimising practice capacity based on data insights.
  • GPAD Data Insights: Analysing GPAD data for insights and configuring the use of the appointment book.
  • System Identification: Identifying all systems where useful data can be gathered.
  • Data Interpretation: Understanding which data tells the story and how to interpret, analyse, and draw meaningful insights.
  • Trend Analysis: Identifying data-driven decisions and following trends.
  • Population Health Analytics: Breaking down data analytics of population health to determine areas of higher demand.
  • Digital Inclusion Gaps: Using data to inform the practice where gaps in digital inclusion may exist.
  • Clinical System Analytics: Analysing clinical system data over a long period (hourly and daily) to generate reports on unused and utilised appointments.
