Net Zero

Our Net Zero project focuses on calculating environmental impact, improving awareness, and implementing sustainable practices.

Why it's important

Reducing the environmental footprint of healthcare practices is crucial for sustainability and public health. By promoting awareness and implementing sustainable practices, healthcare organisations can contribute to global efforts to combat climate change and improve the health of communities.

What the project is about

The Net Zero project aims to provide healthcare practices with the tools and knowledge necessary to reduce their carbon footprint and operate more sustainably. By focusing on environmental impact calculation, energy use improvement, and sustainability education, we help practices achieve their sustainability objectives.

  • Sustainability Awareness: Improving awareness of staff and patients about sustainability and environmental issues.
  • Energy Use Improvement: Reviewing energy suppliers and improving the practice’s energy use for greater efficiency.
  • Travel to Work Schemes: Supporting the implementation of travel to work schemes to reduce carbon emissions.
  • Patient Education: Educating patients on ways they can reduce their carbon footprint.
  • Creating a ‘Green Team’: Establishing a practice ‘Green Team’ to lead and promote sustainability initiatives.
