Social Media Managed Service

Redmoor provides a managed social media service to both individual GP practices and Primary Care Networks that will help them develop a presence on without the burden and pressures associated with managing social media channels.

This approach allows key messages around topics such as population health and important practice information to be effectively communicated with patients. The programme is proving very effective in increasing the use of digital tools like the NHS App and online consultation solutions.

Why use social media in General Practice?

Connect with your patients

Research shows that 84% of people are active on social media, with most of those people using it daily. This provides GP practices and PCNs with a real opportunity to promote regular messages out to patients.

When used properly, social media can build advocates amongst the patient population as well as being a key part of the digital front door.

You might already be online

There has been a rapid growth in unofficial Facebook pages which are created when patients ‘check-in’ or ‘tag’ practices in their own posts.

These unofficial pages appear genuine, but the content is created by patients. Practice teams have no control over this content. In an average ICS area, at least 50% of practices will have one of these unofficial Facebook pages.

Why not search now to see if your practice has an unofficial Facebook presence? Simply search your practice name on Facebook.

Encourage patients to use digital

Social Media is proving highly effective in promoting the use of digital tools such as the NHS App and online consultation solutions.

By engaging with patients through various social media platforms, healthcare providers can raise awareness about these digital resources, educate users on their benefits, and provide step-by-step guides to facilitate adoption.
